What is Color Guard?

Color Guard is an extra-curricular Air Force ROTC organization that is responsible for presenting the flag in a variety of settings. In addition to raising and lowering the flag on-campus in front of the ASB, we present the colors at BYU football games, volleyball and soccer matches, and at local dinners, Eagle Scout Courts of Honor, and memorial services.

The members of color guard practice drill and ceremonies, proper wear of the military uniform, as well as the proper ways to show respect to our nation's flag.

Can I get university credit for this?

Yes, if you are a BYU student, and enrolled in AFROTC. The color guard class is found in the class schedule under Aeros 305R, a 1.0 credit class.

How do I Join?

We meet Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 0700 - 0800 hours in the gym of the Smith Field House. Show up at practice and contact the Color Guard commanders.
